Knit-Rite, Inc., is a well-established leading manufacturer of medical textile products for the prosthetic, orthotic, diabetic and medical compression industries. Knit-Rite, Inc. has an immediate opening in our Kansas City facility for a full-time Human Resource Generalist.


This position is responsible for assisting the Human Resources Manager, maintaining files, assisting in processing payroll, administering insurance benefits, recruitment, and organizing company functions.



• Assist with bi-weekly payroll

• Complete bi-weekly reports for HR (overtime, absence & tardy cards, FMLA hours, etc.)

• Input weekly payroll for temporary employees as well as prepare timecards

• Manage and process paperwork associated with Garnishments and C.O.B.R.A

• Respond to employment verification requests

• Coordinate employee wellness program

• Conduct exit interviews

• Manage and process paperwork associated with Disability and FMLA leaves

• Handle paperwork for processing employee benefits

• Processes voucher requests and reconciliation for all payroll deductions, including medical, vision, dental, etc.

• Schedule interviews, conduct screening phone calls and verify education and employment references

• Conduct new hire orientations, collect new hire benefit enrollment forms and administer new hire training program

• Coordinate worker’s compensation claims, employee clinic visits and required postings

• Serve as active member of company Safety Committee

• Complete OSHA compliance paperwork and surveys

• Respond to employee requests

• Assist HR Manager with employee issues including possible disciplinary action

• Other projects and duties as assigned


Qualification Requirements

• 4 year college degree

• 1-3 Years of HR experience

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
