Knit-Rite® Sock Donation

Kansas City, KS - May 21, 2009 – Knit-Rite, Inc., manufacturer of SmartKnit® Seamless Socks and SmartKnitKIDS® Seamless Sensitivity Socks, recently reached out to about a young autistic man in Rohnert Park, CA that had 90 pair of socks taken from his apartment complex laundry room. His mom and caregiver would wash large loads of socks at a time for convenience and was shocked when she went to retrieve the socks and they had all disappeared.

Upon hearing the story, Knit-Rite wanted to step in and help by sending the young man 90 pairs of the patented SmartKnit® Seamless Socks to replace the ones that had been take. “We are proud to offer products for a better quality of life. To be able to reach out to individuals like this reinforces our commitment to helping make people’s lives better – one sock, or 180 socks in this case, at a time”, said Kam Howard, Marketing Director.
